Please note: This is a joint activity and organized by the Comox Valley Newcomers’ Alumnae Association. Newcomers’ members are welcome but need to be register with one of the conveners: Sue ClarkeBetsy Terpsma,  Irene Smith, or Lesley Ripley in order to participate.

Route: Approximately 70 minutes. Meet at the Recreation Centre Parking lot, 2665 Dunsmuir Ave, Cumberland. Persevere on the long uphill trek up a logging road until we approach Perseverance Creek . Here, we’ll take a few minutes to explore the creek and the China Bowls (China Potholes). Some may find the inbound route a little challenging, but you are rewarded by an easy downhill out. Some loose gravel – wear suitable footwear.

Amenities: Parking lot. Flush toilets and green space for coffee circles in #6 Mine Park (accessible from back end of parking lot).
