President’s Message

Hello fellow Newcomers!

I am truly honoured and excited to be serving as your President for a second term with the Comox Valley Newcomers’ Club for 2025–26.

This past year as President has been incredibly rewarding. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed getting to know so many of you, working alongside a dedicated executive team, and watching friendships blossom across our events and activities. It’s been a wonderful reminder of how special this community is—and I’m eager to continue building on that momentum in the year ahead.

When I first arrived in the Valley in November 2021, knowing only my sister and her family, I was determined to build a sense of community and put down roots. But like many of you, I wasn’t sure where to begin.

Then I found the Newcomers website: “Welcome to the Comox Valley Newcomers’ Club; Where women meet and friendships are made.” It was exactly what I needed.

At my very first Friday morning walk, I was greeted with warmth and kindness by a group of women who, like me, were seeking connection, friendship, and fun. I haven’t looked back since.

As I begin this second term, my goal remains the same: to foster a sense of inclusivity, camaraderie, and belonging. I want to hear from you—what you enjoy, what you’d love to see more of, and how we can continue to make this club meaningful for every member.

Let’s make 2025–26 another year filled with connection, laughter, and shared memories!
